Well, our Christmas parcels have all been delivered, so now we're busy planning our Haggis stock, ready for the Burns Night celebrations.

When we re-open after the Christmas break on 3rd January, we'll be stocking our freezers to maximum capacity, with Macsween Haggis, ready to despatch all the Burns Night orders from the 16th January, (or earlier if required).

We really want to make sure we have plenty of stock for everyone, so please order as early as possible, so that we can plan our Macsween orders accordingly and be able to supply all of our customers with the goods you need.

In the meantime, a very Happy Christmas and New Year to all of you.

We have a fantastic range of products on offer, from some of the best UK stores, including Marks & Spencer and Waitrose.  Everything you need to make your Christmas away from home, truly special.

As the stock in stores tends to diminish the closer we get to Christmas, we really recommend ordering as early as possible, so you don't miss out on your favourites.  We've tried to indicate, where possible, which products, such as some small cakes and mince pies, have a short shelf life and hope this helps with your planning.  We've also found some delicious mince pies by Waitrose, (tried and tested by the Distant Brits team!), which last until the end of December or early January and we can personally recommend them.  All traditional Christmas Cakes and Puddings last until January and beyond.

We're very excited to be able to offer you a fabulous new range of gourmet products that we discovered at the Specialty and Fine Food Fair in London recently.

For the crisp lovers out there, we now have a great range of new flavours from Corkers Crisps and Pipers Crisps, including Pork Sausage and Mustard, (one of our favourites) and Norfolk Bloody Mary, (brilliant Spicy Tomato flavour).  Both of these ranges are only available in small delis and independent stores and in our opinion, you can really taste the difference in the quality of these products.

We've also discovered some amazing chocolates, totally different to anything currently available in supermarkets.  Firstly there are the 'Feed Your Imagination Therapeutic Chocolate Bars', infused with various mood enhancing herbs and essentials oils and for something really special, Davenport's Artisan Hand Crafted Chocolates, these fabulous chocolates look and taste exquisite and would make a fantastic gift or sheer indulgence as a treat for yourself.

We're so pleased to be able to offer these fabulous cheeses to our customers.  If you haven't tried them, you're in for a real treat.  They all come in little 200g wax coated truckles, to keep them fresher for longer.  They're also suitable for freezing, so if you like them and want to stock up, you don't have to worry about eating them quickly, although we're sure that once you've tried them, that won't be a problem!

The most popular cheese is The Little Black Bomber, a superb, creamy textured, extra mature Cheddar, with a fantastic strong flavour.  It's easy to see why this special cheese won the 2010 Silver Medal at the Nantwich International Cheese Show.

There are six other exciting flavours, all equally gorgeous, from Amber Mist - Cheddar laced with Whiskey to Red Devil - Red Leicester with Chillies & Crushed Pepper.  We hope you enjoy this range and look forward to bringing you more of Britain's best gourmet food.
